Environmental Awareness E-Learning

Organisations are increasingly assessed in terms of their environmental profile, both by external agencies (e.g. carbon emissions) and internal stakeholders. Our Environmental Awareness course takes a practical approach to raising awareness of the main issues and improving performance across a range of key areas.

Core Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe main legislation.
  • Explain climate change issues.
  • Describe waste management and recycling procedures.
  • Explain how to practice sustainable procurement (e.g. Fairtrade) and resource management.
  • Describe basic energy efficiency approaches.
  • Explain approaches to construction, refurbishment and planning.
  • Describe use of Environmental Management Systems and Carbon Management Plans.
  • Relate key best practice case studies.

Learning design: MACM courses are highly interactive, using a variety of question-types to encourage users to apply underlying concepts to their day-to-day working environment. Courses are also graphically-rich, using audio-visual assets as appropriate.

An (optional) end-of-course test assesses users on the level of knowledge they have retained. Pass rates can be set as required.

Course duration: 30 minutes (users can bookmark progress and complete the course in ‘chunks’).

All our courses are highly customisable. Clients can add their own graphics, and adapt text-based resources to cover their own procedures and areas of key interest. Clients can also link to their own internal policies and procedures.
