Online Student Induction
This Induction course is aimed specifically at students of college age. Accessible and engaging for all, it is designed to equip students with a clear understanding of key areas within Diversity, Health and Safety, and E-Safety, to ensure that they get the most out of college life:
- The Equality and Diversity module focuses on real life examples to guide students in how they are expected to treat fellow students and staff.
- The Health and Safety module deals with all aspects of student life, from driving on campus to fire safety. Its specific focus on common issues arising in the college environment make it perfect for ensuring a healthy and safe college experience.
- The E-Safety module acknowledges the integral part technology plays in all education environments. It provides best practice and practical ideas for getting the most out of this essential learning tool both effectively and safely.
The three topics are clearly presented with innovation and interaction at their core to ensure that students enjoy the course and take away a good level of practical knowledge from the experience.
On completion, all students should find themselves confident in interacting openly and supportively with a diverse range of peers, as well as understanding how to keep themselves and their fellow students safe both around campus and online. These practical tools will not only help students as they progress through college, but will also form a positive base as they look to the future and their career choices.
