Safe Recruitment E-Learning

A key element to safeguarding is to make recruitment as safe as possible. But even if properly applied, no safe recruitment policies can provide 100% protection for vulnerable people. However, this new course shows how, if properly framed and applied, safe recruitment policies can: identify and deter unsuitable candidates, bolster confidence in a safe learning environment and help legal compliance (and improve inspection grades).

Core learning outcomes:

  • Understand the basics of safe recruitment, and why it matters.
  • Describe how to embed safe recruitment principles at key points in the overall recruitment process.
  • Be aware of the legal framework.
  • Implement pre-employment checks.
  • Explain the induction process

Throughout the course and in the final section, there are links and details of further resources for exploring the subject in more detail.

Learning design: MACM courses are highly interactive, using a variety of question-types to encourage users to apply underlying concepts to their day-to-day working environment. Courses are also graphically-rich, using audio-visual assets as appropriate.

An (optional) end-of-course test assesses users on the level of knowledge they have retained. Pass rates can be set as required.

Course duration: 30 minutes.

All our courses are highly customisable. Clients can add their own graphics, and adapt text-based resources to cover their own procedures and areas of key interest. Clients can also link to their own internal policies and procedures.
